The End of the Line at Rooftop Films September 4th!
The Fledgling Fund and Rooftop Films are presenting The End of the Line at Governor's Island on September 4th. The event will feature information from the Natural Resource Defenses Council and the Lower East Side Ecology Center as well as live music and much more! This outdoor screening starts at 8pm. THE END OF THE LINE
The End of the Line, the first major feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on our oceans, examines the imminent extinction of bluefin tuna, brought on by increasing western demand for sushi; the impact on marine life resulting in huge overpopulation of jellyfish; and the profound implications of a future world with no fish that would bring certain mass starvation.
Venue: Governor's Island
Directions: Free Water Taxi's will leave every 30 minutes from the Battery Maritime Building Slip 7 on the Southern Tip of Manhattan, located next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Take the 1 at South Ferry, W at South Ferry, or 5 at Bowling Green.
